About the Orchid Society of Assam

Conserving Orchids · Protecting Heritage

The Orchid Society of Assam (OSA) was established in December 2018 by orchid lovers and enthusiasts at Silapathar Science College, Silapathar. Its Head Office is based at Silapathar Science College, and its activities extend across Assam.

Registered under the Societies Registration Act, XXI of 1860, the Society works to conserve the wild orchids of Assam and their natural habitats. It also supports biodiversity, natural resources, and environmental protection through awareness programmes, workshops, field activities, and conservation initiatives.
